## What the amendments focus on

A regulation on charges on cross-border payments in the Union and currency conversion charges. The amendments equalise charges for cross-border payments in euro from non-euro-area Member States, address barriers in the Single Market, and require transparency and comparability of currency conversion charges including dynamic currency conversion at point of sale and ATM withdrawals, with regulatory technical standards developed by the European Banking Authority.
