## What the amendments focus on

Recommendation on the EU/Singapore Free Trade Agreement. The amendments revise recitals and paragraphs on shared values of democracy, the rule of law and human rights, this being the first bilateral trade agreement with an ASEAN member state, EU-Singapore trade and investment flows, Singapore's data-protection regime, money laundering, tax avoidance and evasion, financial services, the role of the Court of Justice on EU competences, and trade and sustainable development.
