## What the amendments focus on

A proposed measure on the EU Emergency Travel Document. The amendments revise provisions on a simplified procedure for unrepresented citizens to apply at the embassy or consulate of any Member State after losing a passport, the document's validity as a single-journey document, security and anti-forgery features, response time-limits for the Member State of nationality, retention of applicants' personal data and Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and evaluation of the measure.
