## What the amendments focus on

This consent-procedure file concerns the EU/Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement. Amendments add provisions on the absence of a prior human-rights impact assessment, the Investment Court System replacing existing bilateral investment treaties between EU Member States and Vietnam, UNCITRAL transparency rules and the arbitration clause, the imbalance between investor protections and investor responsibilities, the right to regulate, the Sustainable Development Goals, ILO labour conventions, and human-rights conditions in Vietnam.
