## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on autonomous driving in European transport. The amendments address road safety and human error, driver-assistance systems and a human override function, liability of manufacturers and operators, cybersecurity standards, type-approval and harmonised rules referencing UNECE and the 1968 Vienna Convention, and Europe's competitiveness against the United States, China and Japan.
