## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns implementation of the European Arrest Warrant and surrender procedures between Member States. The amendments discuss the Framework Decision on the European Arrest Warrant (FDEAW) as a mutual-recognition instrument, mutual trust and respect for the Treaties, the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the rule of law, bringing the FDEAW fully under the Lisbon Treaty, the consequences of the UK's withdrawal, and a European network of defence lawyers.
