## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative implementation report on the Return Directive. The amendments add references to instruments on the Schengen Information System for return, recast proposals and Council and Frontex documents, and address the Commission's limited assessment of the directive, the effectiveness of return policy, voluntary returns, detention and entry bans, fundamental rights and proportionality, data availability, and readmission and cooperation with third countries.
