## What the amendments focus on

This consultation dossier concerns guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States. The amendments respond to the COVID-19 crisis and its effects on jobs, SMEs and working conditions, promote a skilled, adaptable workforce and inclusive labour markets, respect subsidiarity, combat poverty, social exclusion and discrimination, and link the guidelines to the European Pillar of Social Rights, the European Green Deal, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the European Semester.
