## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns the economic policies of the euro area for 2020. The amendments, citing the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and the Recovery and Resilience Facility, address the COVID-19 pandemic shock and its uneven impact across Member States and regions, public debt levels, discretionary fiscal policy responses and fiscal buffers, macroeconomic divergence and convergence, structural reforms and investment, the care sector and women, and a coordinated, solidarity-based European response.
