## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on the Arctic: opportunities, concerns and security challenges. The amendments frame the Arctic as a peaceful zone of international cooperation under international law, address climate change and biodiversity loss, indigenous peoples and local communities, the EU's engagement through the Council of the Baltic Sea Region, the Barents Euro-Arctic Council and Arctic Council observer status, and reference the Ilulissat Declaration and critical raw materials.
