## What the amendments focus on

Amendments rework citations and recitals on the EU as a global actor for peace under the UN Charter, EU strategic autonomy, threats in a multipolar world, the departure of the UK, Russia's invasion and annexation of Crimea, China's presence in the Mediterranean and Africa, terrorism, and new technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
