## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on a European Strategy for Energy System Integration. The amendments revise recitals defining energy system integration as coordinated planning across energy carriers and infrastructures, and debate the climate-neutrality-by-2050 goal, the Paris Agreement, the European Green Deal and a 2030 greenhouse-gas reduction target — some endorsing higher ambition and renewables, others rejecting these goals — while stressing energy efficiency, security of supply and prior cost analyses.
