## What the amendments focus on

A legislative file on a framework for the recovery and resolution of insurance and reinsurance undertakings. The amendments centre on policyholder protection and critical insurance functions, pre-emptive recovery and resolution planning with simplified obligations, resolution authorities and financing arrangements or resolution funds, the write-down and conversion tool, special treatment of mutual undertakings, and the role of EIOPA and harmonised national insurance guarantee schemes.
