## What the amendments focus on

A recast of the Long-Term Residents Directive on EU long-term resident status for third-country nationals. The amendments address continuous and cumulated residence, adequate resources and sickness insurance, integration conditions, equal treatment in economic, social and labour matters, recognition of professional and academic qualifications, family reunification, intra-EU mobility and labour market checks in a second Member State; one amendment proposes rejecting the Commission proposal.
