## What the amendments focus on

A legislative procedure on Horizon Europe, the Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation for the period 2028-2034. The amendments strengthen the programme's focus on agriculture, food security, animal health and the primary sector, calling for a fairer geographical distribution of funding toward widening and less research-intensive regions, a multi-actor approach involving farmers and end users, and coherence with the CAP; several set or adjust the funding envelopes for the Health, Biotech, Agriculture, Food and Bioeconomy activities.
