## What the amendments focus on

This dossier is a regulation on the screening of foreign investments in the Union. The amendments define which foreign direct investments fall within scope, set common features of Member State screening mechanisms, organise a cooperation mechanism with comments and Commission opinions on investments affecting security or public order, list projects or programmes of Union interest, and address investments routed through controlled entities, including from China.
