## What the amendments focus on

Amendments to the 2025 general budget, in the agriculture section. They contest the EUR 53,75 billion in commitments and EUR 51,12 billion in payment, regret the decrease compared to 2024 and call for an increase given challenges facing farmers — input prices, inflation, extreme weather and Russia's war against Ukraine — invoking the Common Agricultural Policy, food security, a fair income for farmers, and climate objectives.
