## What the amendments focus on

Draft regulation on the conservation of fish stocks and measures in relation to countries allowing non-sustainable fishing. The amendments invoke UNCLOS, the UN Fish Stocks Agreement and the Port State Measures Agreement, introduce definitions of 'failure to cooperate', 'precautionary approach' and 'unsustainable state', list criteria such as undue delays, discriminatory measures and lack of transparency, reference RFMOs and the Mediterranean and North African fleets, and set time limits for action.
