## What the amendments focus on

Own-initiative report on the role of social, economic and environmental standards in safeguarding fair competition for aquatic food products and improving food security. Amendments revise the citations and recitals on the EU's dependence on aquatic food imports, the Common Fisheries Policy's balance of economic, social and environmental standards, sustainable aquaculture, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, the European Ocean Pact, ILO work-in-fishing standards and the fishing community's standard of living.
