## What the amendments focus on

The dossier is Parliament's report on an EU strategy to face new theories against democracy. Amendments invoke freedom of expression and judicial independence and the European Democracy Shield, and address authoritarian and anti-democratic ideologies, the 'Neo-Reaction' school in the United States, disinformation including deepfakes and AI-generated content, foreign interference and the Russian regime, censorship and surveillance, and references to the US National Security Strategy and the Digital Services Act.
