# A new strategy for media literacy and digital learning

## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns a new strategy for media literacy and digital learning. Amendments call for skills to counter disinformation, cyberbullying, hate speech and harmful online content, protection of minors including as regards AI-generated content, chatbots and age-appropriate access to online platforms, while safeguarding freedom of expression against censorship. They urge integrating media and AI literacy into school curricula, teacher training, lifelong learning, partnerships with libraries, community media and youth organisations, and attention to rural and disadvantaged users.
