# 2025 Commission report on Albania

## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report responds to the 2025 Commission report on Albania. The amendments address Albania's EU accession trajectory, judicial independence, anti-corruption efforts including the work of SPAK, media freedom, minority and gender rights, public administration reform, and the business environment and informal economy. Several raise foreign policy and security concerns, including Russia's war against Ukraine and Russian influence, energy and strategic-investment projects, the Skavica hydropower plant, illegal fishing, and the use of IPA III and the Reform and Growth Facility conditioned on reform progress.
