## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report reviews the 2026 application of the regulation on funding European political parties and foundations. The amendments seek lighter administrative burdens, reinstatement of corrective measures, raising the private-donation cap (from EUR 18 000 toward EUR 30 000) and the Union co-financing cap (Article 22(4)) toward 100 % of eligible costs, neutral application of Article 2 TEU criteria, and comparable transparency obligations for other Union-funded entities such as NGOs.
