Development of the framework for the activities of interest representatives (lobbyists) in the European institutions
An own-initiative report on developing the framework for the activities of interest representatives (lobbyists) in the European institutions. The amendments propose a register and code of conduct, a voluntary "legislative footprint" listing interest representatives consulted on reports, conflict-of-interest and cooling-off rules for current and former Members, transparency over Intergroups and their funding, Members' declarations of financial interests, and a common definition covering professional, in-house, NGO, think-tank, trade-union and other lobbyists.
