Privacy
AmendEU has no user accounts and keeps no profile of you. Everything on this page is the complete list of what exists.
What we store about visitors
Nothing personal server-side. The site is a set of static pages served from a CDN. We do not log who you are, and we cannot: there is no login, no tracking pixel, no advertising.
Aggregate analytics. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without following individual visitors across sites (their privacy notes ↗).
What stays in your browser
A few features remember choices locally, on your device only, and we never see them: interface state (filters, disclosed sections) and, if you use the gated features (“Ask AmendEU”, AI syntheses), the access code you entered and a free-trial counter — stored as a cookie/local storage so you don’t retype it.
When you use the AI features
Questions typed into “Ask AmendEU” and AI-synthesis requests are processed by Anthropic’s API to produce the answer. Don’t put personal data in a question; none is needed. Generated syntheses are cached so the same text is served to everyone — they contain analysis of parliamentary documents, never anything about you.
Data about public figures
The site republishes the public parliamentary record: amendments, votes, roles and portraits of Members of the European Parliament, from official sources (methodology & sources). It is informational, and neither financed nor endorsed by the European Parliament.
