Summary

This dossier concerns restrictions on the marketing and use of dichloromethane (DCM) in dangerous substances and preparations. Amendments revise recitals and provisions on DCM-based paint strippers used by consumers, professionals and in industrial installations, banning or restricting their marketing, derogations and licensing for professionals, container size and child-resistant closures, ventilation, personal protective equipment, occupational exposure limits, labelling, and assessment of alternatives under REACH.
