Summary
The dossier is a recast of ecodesign requirements for energy-related products. The amendments concern the directive's scope, including exclusions for construction products, custom-made products and means of transport, the definitions of 'energy related product' and 'environmental impact', life-cycle and resource-efficiency considerations, the CE marking and consumer information, self-regulation by industry, SMEs, and the carbon footprint of products; one amendment rejects the Commission proposal.
