United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Optional Protocol)

The dossier concerns the Optional Protocol to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Amendments call on the Community and Member States to accede to and ratify it, to involve organisations of persons with disabilities in monitoring the Convention pursuant to Articles 4 and 33(2), to ensure accessible dissemination of information about it, and to amend the legal basis to reflect competence in development cooperation.
