Summary
The dossier concerns frequency bands reserved for the coordinated introduction of public pan-European cellular digital land-based mobile communications. The amendments provide that the 900 MHz spectrum band made available for GSM and UMTS be allocated transparently to ensure a level playing field, and require appropriate protection between users in adjacent bands, taking into account prospective aviation communications systems above 960 MHz.
