This dossier is the recast directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Amendments revise provisions on the prevention, re-use, recycling and recovery of WEEE, separate collection and collection schemes, the polluter pays principle and producer financing and financial guarantees, definitions of equipment categories and producers, scope, recovery and recycling targets, and shipment of equipment intended for re-use.
