Summary
The dossier concerns a European charter on the rights of energy consumers. The amendments debate giving the Charter binding force or incorporating it into electricity and gas directives, energy poverty and affordable access for low-income consumers, transparent prices and comparable invoices, smart meters, the role and powers of national regulators, information on the energy mix and carbon dioxide emissions, and protection for households and SMEs.
