Summary
An own-initiative report on the strategy for the outermost regions: achievements and future prospects. Amendments rework recitals on the outermost regions (the Azores, Canaries, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Madeira, Martinique, Reunion), their handicaps and links to agriculture, fisheries and tourism, addressing the Structural Funds, ERDF, the POSEI schemes, the sugar, rum and banana sectors, EPA negotiations with ACP countries, regional languages such as creole, space research at Kourou, biodiversity and immigration pressure.
