Summary
This own-initiative report concerns fisheries and aquaculture in the context of integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) in Europe. Amendments revise text on planning population, tourism, economic and environmental uses in coastal areas, the limited technological development of aquaculture away from coasts, the role of women in fisheries-dependent areas, the outermost regions, involving the fishing sector in ICZM planning, equal opportunities under the European Fisheries Fund, and renewable-energy aquaculture projects.
