Summary
This own-initiative report responds to the White Paper on damages actions for breach of the EC antitrust rules. The amendments address access to justice and full compensation for victims of competition-law infringements while preventing unmeritorious litigation, debating collective, representative, opt-in and opt-out actions, the exclusion of punitive damages, the allocation of costs and contingency fees, and the role of alternative dispute resolution.
