Summary
This own-initiative dossier concerns artistic studies in the European Union. The amendments call for artistic education to be a compulsory element of school syllabuses at all levels and ages to democratise access to culture, support mobility and recognition of artists' qualifications (referencing the European Qualifications Framework and Bologna Declaration), coordination through the Open Method of Coordination, Europeana, and a European portal for artistic and cultural education.
