Summary
Own-initiative report on relations between the European Union and the Mediterranean countries. The amendments concern the 'Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean' as a step toward economic and regional integration, large-scale projects, funding sources including a Euro-Mediterranean Investment Bank and FEMIP/EIB and migrants' remittances, the role of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly and the European Parliament, institutional arrangements such as the co-presidency and joint secretariat, and involvement of civil society.
