Greening transport package and the internalisation of external costs

This own-initiative report concerns the greening transport package and the internalisation of external costs. Amendments cite EU 2020 targets on greenhouse gases, renewable energy and energy consumption, and address the Commission communications on internalisation of external costs and rail noise abatement, revision of the heavy goods vehicle tolls under Directive 1999/62/EC, the polluter-pays principle, transport-sector emissions, retrofitting freight wagons with low-noise brakes, and co-modality.
