Summary
This own-initiative report sets out a sustainable future for transport. The amendments push for internalising external costs into transport prices, CO2 reduction targets, modal shift to public, rail, walking and cycling and sustainable urban mobility plans, compliance with air-quality and Euro emission standards, action on maritime and aviation emissions, research and development for low-carbon transport, and conditioning EU and EIB funding on sustainable transport plans.
