Equality between women and men in the European Union — 2009

Own-initiative report on equality between women and men in the European Union for 2009. The amendments add references citing the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and revise recitals on the impact of the economic crisis on women, gender segregation by occupation and sector, part-time employment, the absence of paternity-leave legislation, and the higher poverty risk of single mothers and women over 65.
