Summary
The dossier addresses the effects of the global financial and economic crisis on developing countries and development cooperation. Amendments cite reports by the IMF, World Bank and UNCTAD, call on Member States to meet Official Development Assistance targets (0.56% and 0.7% of gross national income) and the Millennium Development Goals, criticise financial deregulation and conditionalities of the International Financial Institutions, and propose an international financial transaction tax.
