EU policies in favour of human rights defenders

Own-initiative report on EU policies in favour of human rights defenders, with amendments specifying defenders acting outside EU territory. They reference the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Lisbon Treaty and the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the EU Guidelines on Human Rights Defenders, the Sakharov Prize, the High Representative, women defenders at particular risk, human rights clauses in Preferential Trade Agreements, and criteria defining a defender.
