Summary
This own-initiative report concerns arrangements for importing fishery and aquaculture products into the EU in view of the future reform of the Common Fisheries Policy. Amendments address overfishing and depletion of fish stocks, traceability and equivalent health, environmental and social standards for imports, the EU regulation on illegal fishing, WTO and FAO trade rules, and the development of sustainable European aquaculture.
