Summary
Non-legislative procedure on the migration from the Schengen Information System (SIS 1+) to the second-generation system (SIS II). Amendments note that the preconditions for migration would not be met by 30 June 2010, treat SIS 1+ RE as a contingency plan, adapt the legal framework to allow alternative technical solutions, and address preventing data leakage, automatic deletion of records, and the composition and costs of the GPMB.
