Mechanisms for control by Member States of the Commission’s exercise of implementing powers, 'Comitology Regulation'

This Comitology Regulation lays down rules and principles for Member States' control of the Commission's exercise of implementing powers under Article 291 TFEU. Amendments concern the examination and advisory procedures for general implementing measures, treatment where the committee delivers a negative or no opinion, placing the European Parliament on an equal footing with the Council, Parliament's scrutiny and access to committee meetings, and external financial-assistance instruments.
