Summary
A proposal on marketing standards for agricultural products. Amendments debate making origin labelling compulsory versus voluntary indication of place of farming, list sectors covered such as fruit and vegetables, bananas, eggs and poultry, milk, wine, olive oil, beef and veal, set classification, presentation, labelling and packaging criteria, provide for delegated acts and simplified standards for small-scale producers and local breeds and varieties, and condition revisions on benefit to farmers, processors, traders and consumers.
