Summary
Own-initiative report on public service broadcasting in the digital era and the future of the dual system. The amendments concern the contribution of public service and commercial broadcasting to audiovisual production, cultural and linguistic diversity, pluralism and democracy, the coexistence of public and private broadcasters in the dual system, the impact of digital technologies and new online media actors, and the financial and political pressures threatening public broadcasters.
