This own-initiative report concerns health care systems in sub-Saharan Africa and global health. Amendments revise recitals and provisions on publicly funded health services, mutual health organisations and insurance schemes, women's reproductive health and harmful practices, child vaccination and mortality, shortages of trained medical staff and counterfeit medicines, the role of NGOs and faith-based organisations, and the Millennium Development Goals.
