European initiative on Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias

This dossier concerns a European initiative on Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Amendments revise recitals on the estimated prevalence of dementia in Europe and worldwide, the ageing population, the direct and informal care costs, the role of informal carers, underdiagnosis and inequalities across Member States, fragmentation of research and joint programming, and prevention through modifiable risk factors.
