Own-initiative report on industrial policy for the globalised era. Amendments debate EU trade policy and the WTO, supporting a sustainable and competitive industrial base, low-carbon production, protection of workers' and trade union rights, support for SMEs, fair competition against unfair practices, re-skilling and lifelong learning financed partly through the ESF, and responses to the economic and financial crisis and delocalisation.
