Summary
This own-initiative report addresses the face of female poverty in the European Union. The amendments highlight the gender pay gap, dual discrimination of women with disabilities and older women, single mothers and one-parent families, the impact of the economic crisis, and access to care services, and call on Member States to mainstream gender equality and to use the European Social Fund under the Europe 2020 anti-poverty initiative.
